headers and such

This is my first post, just bought my z(95) and was curious as to peoples opinions on what headers and cat back I shoud get, I was hopefully going to buy some hooker lt's and a Flowmaster American Thunder. I heard this will be loud and have an average power gain also just after buyin i had to have my valves all re-done and my wiring redone due to a bad temp sensor that fried my head gaskets and while the heads were off my mechanic decided to have the heads polished im just curious if that would add power also how much does a stock lt1 put to the ground? Thanks.

Re: headers and such

I have SLP headers and Flowmaster exhaust, it's fairly loud. Big improvment, also cold air helps. Polishing the heads? probably improves flow but not sure of the gains. The stock Z puts down around 280. Sombody else probably knows exactly. Go to "User CP" top left on tool bar above and then you will see "edit signature" top left on that screen.

Stock Z28 makes 275 at the flywheel, not sure what they usually put out at the wheels.

Does your car need to pass emissions? If so, the LTs are gonna be hard to do.
