Hooker F-Body Headers

Corsa Performance F-Body Exhaust


I had posted an earlier thread, questioning about what type of headers/exhaust I should get, and I got a lot of people recommending SLP...I kept seeing Mac headers, and Hooker longtubes on their car specs. How much do people generally spend on Headers? The link I have shows those Hookers going for about 600$. If I were to go with that combination right there (hooker f-body/corsa), it would be an estimated 1500$ for parts, but I'm not sure how much installation would cost. I wish I could find some kind of data numbers on the Hooker F-body headers. How much hp could one hope to gain from a good set of headers/exhaust? And is 1500$ for parts alone too much to spend for whatever performance I might get out of it? Can anyone give me a ballpark number for what they spent on exhuast components and what kind of performance gains resulted?

 

I just put some jet hot LT's on over thanksgiving. I spent about $1200 on headders, coated ORP, plugs and wires, some poly mounts and other misc stuff. BTW jet hot's are just over $500, including O2 bungs.
