starting to get frustrated with car

alright, its actually about to the point to where I'm about to sell the car and start over.

Background: back in march i did headers/exhaust and thats when the problem came up. The previous owner had the car dynotuned to run perfect in full-stock form, so the tune was off but i got that taken care of.

Mods: headers/exhaust

Problem: when im driving down the road, i will get a sputter, and if i get into the gas during that sputter it will make a POP.
We datalogged the car and it showed spark retard throughout the RPMs at any throttle. I was getting 2 degrees at idle, and up to 15 degress when it sputters.

Is this being caused from the headers/exhaust, or something else?
I know the exhaust SLIGHTLY knocks on the floor board, and i have poly mounts waiting to go in when i get a nice enough day.

If you get the car mail-order tuned then they can tune out the knock sensor in general so it doesnt retard timing also lean out the AF so it doesnt pop. Does it throw any codes (my stuttered and popped because of o2 wires burned off the primaries)

it does not throw any codes

Also, i did not get a mail order tune, but i had a local guy tune it and he got it close, but wanted me to get the "mechanical" problem fixed before we tune it further

wires/plugs/lt4 knock module

you won't always see everything going on in the computer, thats what i have found with these cars. and, as always make sure there are no exhaust leaks. as usualy, also make sure that things like your MAP and MAF sensor are hooked up all the way, and not just barely touching.

Bypass the knock sensor, do a search on here and find out the value to the resistor it takes and put it inline and ground it to the block.

Look to see if the headers or ex are touching the frame.
