i need emissions and ground clearence

i live in MA we are just as strict on emissions as CA
and the ground clearence issuse is huge for me too cause all the roads here are salted almost year round because of the salty air from the ocean and salt for snow. if they scrape just once then they will rust right away.
im not into the whole drag strip thing sure i will go a couple of times but im not goung for total hp or best times, if i was i wouldn't have put in a stereo or got ttops. i just want to go a bit faster and have a bit more sound, but i don't want to waste my money on shorties cause it seems everyone here says they don't do much of anything.
the mid length seem to be the best of both worlds

ok screw the jet hot/ceramic coating.

My hooker LTs were jet hot, and they rusted in 2 months. My friends were gone in about 5 months. Yes they will replace them up to 1 year, but for me it would cost a fortune to have them removed and then reinstalled, so i will have to live with the rusted coating.

Get the stock hookers, and have them nickle plated at a local place. Not as nice looking, but does its job without crapping out.
