Headers Advice

Planning to buy headers for my 97 LT1. The engine is completely stock so I'm not sure whether to buy or save my money for another modifications. Any advices about header brands will be apreciated.

Also I need thoughts about performance of SLP headers excluding its high price.

Re: Headers Advice

Do you have emissions testing in your area? If so i'd get something street legal, that could pretty much do away with the longtube headers if you have to do a smog test. If not then i'd go with either Pacesetter, Hooker, or Jethot longtubes.

I personally like the Pacesetters cause the driverside headers. The diverside is one unit instead of having the first tube come come in/out. And it's pretty much the same design as the other 2, you can get race or emissions compatable long tubes, easy install, and good priced.

I've heard the Mac mid-length headers are good also but i don't know anything else about them.

I'm running AS&M headers and probably gonna switch over to Pacesetters.
