Headers for a 97 formula???
Headers for a 97 formula???
Would going with shorties be a waste of money? I've heard that the only time i'll really feel the difference is when i'm driving REALLY hard. is that true? also i'm thinking about going with true duals. will it give me anything extra over a cat back. Any help is much appreciated. THANX
LT's are a much better investment and don't really cost much more, so if emissions isn't a problem than go with LT's. I don't know from experience with the tue duals, but supposedly there is a big difference in gains between duals and a chambered cat-back.
yeah, we've got emissions in NJ. If you can afford it, I'd say go with the Arizona Speed and Marine headers. Mid length, 1 3/4 primary, fully emissions legal, except for the state of CA, but we don't need them.
I've got slp shorties on my 97 Formula. Bitch to put on. I helped my buddy with his long tubes on a 95, and it was a lot easier. I got mine used so thats why I put them on. I didn't get before or after track results, but on a g-tech I was consistently running 13.46-13.49 at 107-108. After the headers I consistently run 13.25-13.29 at 109-110. I can definitely feel the difference. If have someone to pass you on emissions then get long tubes. If not then try to find some used ones off of here or other boards.
