headers?

hey guys. on my pacesetter longtubes, i noticed there wasn't (excuse my improper knowledge of names) the little clamps that usually come stock on the collector.

not for a camaro i know, but im talking about the thing to the far right of the picture on the header itself to give a better description.
so do i just buy a pipe a bit larger than the 3" collector, put it over it then weld it? sorry for the dumb question i just want to be sure

Do you mean your Pacesetters do not have the 3-bolt flanges on the end of the collector, but instead are "plain"? If so, you either add/weld on flanges or use band clamps.

If you are not going to use the catalytic converter then all you have to do is cut the intermediate pipe. That is if you have a aftermarket 3" exhaust. That's all I had to do to mine. I used band clamps to hold it together. The band clamps are nice if you ever have to take the exhaust off.
