Headers
Headers
I know it depends ont he type of headers you get for the whole set up but what have you guys been charged for install on the headers on the LT1 motor. I know it is a lot of work but i dont know what it cost to get it done. thanks guys
A few years ago I looked into this and was told anywhere from 500 to 800 dollars.
I put mine in myself cause I thought it was too damn much money just to install a set of headers, I know now why they charge that much.
I think you should be able to find a shop to do it for between 250 and 350, someone who has done it before and has the time down should be good.

If it was someone I didn't know- I sure as **** wouldn't do it for less than $450 -$500. Doing headers SUCKS, esecially if you are a shop. you have to deal with the risk of breaking emissions laws, exhuast leaks burnt wires ect. Do it yourself. Nothing to mess up really. Its not hard, just VERY time consuming.
headers are not hard at all.. I just did them on my buddy's Formula. As said above its just very time consuming. We could have easly done it in two days but you really need to plan for about 3 days (4-5 hours each day). This will allow you to take your time and to be able to walk away when your
and ready to throw the wrench threw the garage door. Im a calm guy and by the end of the install it was on my last nerve!
Just take your time and allow a few days and you will have no problems.
