Best spark plug?

I am tuning up my car I already bought a MSD Coil, MSD 8.5 wires and now I don't know what spark plugs to get. I am thinking either just the AC Delcos or NGK, either way platinum. Give me some opinions here.

i used NKGs with a simlier setup, and didn't really like them. Then I got a bad load of gas and that fuel fouled the plugs, so I switched back to ACDELCOs, and I can't be happier.

I'm using NGK TR55s, and honestly...I wouldn't use any other plug.

Well...they aren't platinum, so not as long as those. But I'll be damned if the car doesn't run outstanding while they're plugged in my heads. If they do foul, they won't cost you $12 a plug either. You can get a set for under $15.00.

You can get them through Advance Auto Parts for $14.00 a set, if you have one nearby!

I run AC Delco platinums, I only paid $6 per plug. The whole set came out to about $49.50 after tax. I wouldn't put anything else in my engine. I have heard good things about NGK TR55's, but nothing that would make me choose them over AC Delco platinums.

NGK's are good plugs. i used to run delcos but for the money, they didnt hold up as well as i hoped. NGK's have done great....and they are only a 1/3 of the cost of delcos

Yea but who can say that they've put 100,000 miles plus on the the NGK's without a single problem?

By the way, point being that the Delco's are tried and true. On a mostly stock engine, there is no reason to use anything else. I may understand the money issue, but if you have to swap them out in half the time, the money isn't really a factor anymore...

God, I love starting controversy

NGK Iridium's are the absolute best in my opinion.

I am using the NGK TR6s and those plugs work well. I have a FEW mods plus nitrous and needed a colder plug. For a less modded ride I would say the 55s are a great plug.

Autolites also work well and are very inexpensive, like around $1/plug. I forget what the stock heat range is for our cars, but 104 is one step colder and 103 is two steps.

Both of those have worked fine in my stock engine car when running N/A (I went colder because I run nitrous too).

I use NGK TR55s and am very happy. Even if they dont last as long as AC Delcos, I'd rather replace the NGKs more often then pay for the Delcos. Doing my plugs is cake so I'm ok with it.
