header swap worth the money n headache?

Question header swap worth the money n headache?

i already have edelbrock headers on my car. would it be worth the money n headache to swap to long tubes? im planning on doing some lloyd elliott heads n custom cam in a few weeks and was wandering if it would make that much difference? any info is greatly appreciated.

Yes,it will be worth your time and effort.The heads will need the better flow to maximize their potential.

before this thread gets out of hand, be warned, you will not get a straight answer to this question, everyone has their own opinions and theories and you ultimately have to just make the call for yourself.

IMHO, long tubes will be better in the long run. ive driven a car with shorties and midlengths also. the longtubes seem to open the car up over more of the powerband than either of the other options. but thats just me, it all depends on your goals and where your at right now as far as mods are concerned.

I suggust you perform a search to get your answer. There's a lot of trade-offs with long tubes (ground clearance, especially on a lowered car, smog legality, interference with K members and sub frames that cause false knock). They'll gain you power if you can deal with their "side effects".
