I'm trying to take my headers off due to one of them getting a hole in it. I have removed 4 of the 6 bolts on the drivers side but on the other 2 bolts the wrench rubs against the header tube so it won't get a grip on the bolt. I've tried a socket which gets on there fine but the wrachet hits the header tube and an extension makes it hit the header tube as well. What can I use to take the bolts off?! HELP PLEASE!

 

Are you using the closed end or the open end of the wrench? I remember quite a few bolts on my headers were real pains, you know, 1/4 turn at a time! Patience......

 

They are 12 point header bolts so I can't use the open end
