header question

hey, this is mostly just a curiosity question. if i were to put on shorty headers w/ true duals and no cats (on a 97TA), would that be just as efficient as putting on long tubes or better? ive got my own opinions about it. just wondering what someone with a little more knowledge on the subject thinks. a friend and i were discussing this and were curious to know the answer. now i know its not legal, its just a question. thanks.

I don't think so..LT's come with 1 3/4" primaries while shorties come with 1 5/8" primaries plus they don't go all the way down. I used shorties to save money (no need for a custom Y-pipe or O2 sims) and to stay smog legal.

It would make more power to go with longtubes...it's been dyno proven time and time again

I went with shorties for ground clearance reasons, and the fact I didn't feel like messing with a y-pipe for the hookers
