Header Options

what options are out there if you have to keep everything emissions legal. i live in ny so i need to run cats, i know that mac makes a y pipe with cats to fit there mid lenghts but i've been told that going with 1 5/8 headers would be a waste of money. i know headers are a common topic so thanks for any replies

Re: Header Options

depends on who you ask... i have mac's and love em. But if you do get them, just do the 95 conversion so you can drop one of the cats. Also the 96-97 MAC's are not midlengths because of the extra cat... so if you want midlengths do the 95 style MAC's.

also have heard that AS&M headers are good for midlengths as well.

Re: Header Options

no, you dont. Although i have heard that the AS&M headers are really really bad clearance. But i have also burned a wire with my MAC's as well. I thought you said you cant do long tubes because of emissions issues?

Going with shorties is a waste of money, 1 5/8" diameter headers arent bad... they get the job done.
