header installation costs??
Somewhere around $400 is a good bet, although you might find some difficulty in finding a muffler shop that would do it, if the headers you are installing eliminate emissions components.
Why not do it yourself? It isn't overly hard. You and a friend could do it in a long day, and you'll save some money, and gain the satisfaction of installing headers on an LT1 car.

A header bolt shouldn't break off in the head, even if it's original. The factory used plenty of anti-seize. You should worry more about the y-pipe bolts (only if you don't plan on snapping them...
). The manifold bolts were the easiest bolts to remove for my install.

i've seen b/w $150-500... but its not that hard, and i'd rather do it myself...
when my bought my hooker long tubes i asked around on the board and got discouraged from trying to do it myself because many told me how hard its goign to be, and how they'd never want to do that again. So I ended up paying $350 and having a shop do it.
I helped a friend install Long Tubes on his car, and i was surprised just how easy it was...its just taking bolts off of the old manifolds, then putting them on with the new manifolds in place...
