Header install, tips...

I am installing MAC mids this month at some point and while I have everything off im going to do plugs and wires also. What do you guys reccommend for an all bolt on car as far as plugs go? My ignition system is all stock so I don't need the best money can buy, but what is a good wire for a good price that won't give me problems, but will give me a little performance? Thanks guys.

For your plugs, go with either the stock Delcos again or NGK TR-55s as they get alot of positive feedback on this board. I am running the TR-55s w/ not complaints.

I'd go NGK tr55's, and for wires I'd get the Taylor wires that you can cut to custom length. Then get an over the valve cover wire loom kit so you can wire your wires on the valve covers, which makes the engine bay look nicer AND more importantly you can change the plugs and wires MUCH easier.

wires you can get from thunderracing. For the looms, I'm using "made for you" looms from summit. Go do a search on there or do a search on here for "over the valve cover wires".

Search for a post on "General F-Body Tech"..... people are apparently having problems with the Taylor wires. I've had excellent results with the MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor wires. They are a problem to fit into the stock wire looms if you use them. I don't use the stock routing (no Opti) so I don't hve a problem.

I personally had problems with two sets of the stock AC/Delco plugs losing the little platinum pucks on the electrodes. Many other people have reported a similar problem. Lose one puck, and you've got an 0.075" gap, lose both of them and you get a 0.100" gap..... not a good situation.

What about the plugs? Can i get plugs at just an autoparts store? Also, if the bigger wires won't fit in the looms, then how do i solve that problem? I really don't want to deal with burnt wires so I need to get them out of the way. Thanks, great info so far.

What other "cut length to fit" wires are available besides Taylors?? THey are the only ones I know of, MSD's I've seen are pre-made.....
