Header install jack height?

Header install jack height?

Im about to buy some jack stands for sears to install my jet hot LT's how high am i going to need to jack the car up to get these in? i wanna get a jackstand thats high enough

I think I used some big ol 5 ton jack stands jacked up all the say and it was still tight angling those headers in. If I could go back, what i would do it take the 6 bolts that hold the front suspension in and drop the motor/trans/suspension and save all the agrivation. But if you dont have time or room, then get the jack stands and get some good thick wood from home depot or something and put it under the jacks. Just my .02

So should i get 4 jack stands or just use 2? My dads birthday is today and he's at work so i gotta hurry and get the stuff

I put the rear on ramps, and used two 3-ton stands sitting on two layers of 4" solid concrete blocks.
