Header install on a 95 z

Header install on a 95 z

I have a quick question about headers maybe someone can help me with. I wanted to know if i installed the pacesetter race version with out no egr or air can i use it with out a tune and what would i need to do to block the egr and what ever else needs to be done.How long do u think it would take to do the install. thanks

Depends, as long as you keep a good fuse in the AIR circuit, you shouldn't get a code. However, the EGR is a hit or miss. If you get an SES light, then you will have to have it tuned out. You will also need EGR blockoff plates which run around twenty bucks. The install can take a day, or it can take a little longer, it really depends on you.

But as far as the egr is concerned i wiil only have to block it on the intake manifold. The air pump i could just delete untill i get a ses or a tune as long as i have a good fuse like u said.

One other thing i was wondering about is on the o2 extensions which ones do i get the flat or the square conectors i have a 95z.

Flat one for the front O2's.

Once i get the install in order with the ory with no cats will i be able to start my car and drive it or will i need a tune cause of no cats.

The cats won't be an issue, you can drive the car. Plus, you have a 95 so the PCM doesn't even monitor the catalysts.
