Header Bolts

Im going to install new hooker lt headers next saturday morning, i was wondering what all would i need to do to remove the header bolts and would the break easy, and could i remove them with basic hand tools, anything special i should apply before i try to move them, and what if i snap one off and does that happen!

Hit them with a good shot of penatrating oil the night before. Basic hand tools should be all that's needed. If you get one that does not want to break loose, more penatrating oil and if you have room, hit the head of the bolt with a hammer several times. Some times heat helps, remember your working a steel bolt in aluminum threads, you can pull the threads out if your a gorilla about it.

hand tools work, boxwrench will coem in very handy, as a rachet wont fit in some places...they can break, so try spraying a little wd-40 on em first and let it soak in.

WD-40 is NOT a penetrant. Get yourself a can of PB Blaster, Liquid Wrench or my favorite Kroil from Kano Labs. You'll never find a can of WD-40 in my garage!
