header #1 primary clearance issue help!!!

i installed my headers a few days ago and i ran into some clearance issues with the #1 primary on the driver's side. i changed the motor mounts because they were worn, my car has 75k miles. the #1 primary is within a quarter of an inch of the fender well and is almost touching the brakes lines. How much clearance should there be??? is there anything that could cause this? someone help me!!!!

my AS&M left header #1 was real close to to those lines, i had to tie wrap the, i think it's the hood latch cable, to the brake line there. Very close, not sure how it's going to work. Haven't run the car yet with the headers, still working on them.

thanks, that is the same place i'm at right now. trying to figure if the clearance will be enough. i've been working on my car for a couple of weeks now, replaced the exhuast system from heads back, motor mounts, trans mount, and changing some of the rear suspension bushings to poly. i let you know if i figure something out. thank you

Zip Tying works! Trust me. Clearance is close, I found out with the hood latch cable when I noticed it was halfway burnt through. Then, moving it out of the way, I stuck the back of my hand against a very hot #1 primary. Note to self: zip tie things before running car.

Its close the heat shield on the drivers side right? You can bend that part of the heat shield on the inner fender well. Just stick a screw driver in there, bend it in close to a half inch and your good.

Don't forget you can always cover the area with some aluminized reflective heat tape. Summit and Jegs sell it and it works great.

Just cover the area of the fender you are trying to protect.

Put that line behind the shield if its not already and just bend the shield back..that should do the trick, but if you don't want to bend anything (not that its noticeabable anyway), get some sleeving or tape (said above).
