I'm installing a set of after market heads on a 95 Z28. When I removed the Banjo bolts on the back of the heads I noticed that it has a washer with some sort of rubber inner lining. After removing the heads I noticed that in the threads was the same material. Both of the rubber pieces the one in the head and on the washer were torn. I called the dealer and they said it was two washers and I just needed to replace both. Is this correct,because it looks like the one in the heads are made in it like a sleeve?Thanks for the help, Mike .

 

According to the lt1 rebuild book , that is correct, just replace the rubber flat washers...
