Talking Head Gasket question...please help

Ive been doing searches and talking to people about which head gaskets to use, cant seem to get a straight answer for my application so someone help me out please.

Going to put on some P&P heads that have been milled .010 and was wondering if i should use stock replacement felpro gaskets or if i could use the thinner Impalla gaskets with stock length pushrods?

Could someone please let me know and a part number would be great also

ive used impala on my car. Worked fine but i took them off when i blew the engine.. Trying felpro 1074 gaskets. Discount auto probably has them in there perfomance catalog and would be the cheapest place to get them.. . the impala gasket is made for iron block to iron heads which is why some people to steer u away from them.
The stock felpro replacements i would not recommend. Get the 1074's. They are .039 thick. Stock is .051. Impala are .029.
Lower is better but urs are milled so The 1074's will have the same height as a impala gasket would have on non milled heads.

theres mr gasket and some other really expensive one too..

stock deck height, heads milled .010", lift under .575". i am happy with the thinnest of all the gaskets, Mr. Gasket .026" part# 5716 fyi
pushrods are 7.3", slightly longer then stock
and a local parts store should have them or be able to order them

Go with the 1074s, that what I use. I have heard of the impy gaskets blowing on our cars because they are designed for an iron head.

I wouldnt use a 7.3 with milled heads AND thinner gaskets. You prolly want to be 7.2 or 7.15.

I used the Mr. Gasket ultra seal .026. Waiting to start her up actually. I will tell you how it goes.

different camshaft also, if you notice in the catalogs, the longer pushrod is recomended for the Comp cams, i guess it has something to do with the base circle
that was the length suggested to me by the cam maker
