Head Gasket Question???

I am in the process of changing head gaskets for the new turbo setup and needed to know what mm. I should go with for this. I do not know if stop gaskets would be the best way to go, or a thicker or thinner gasket. Please let me know. Patrick

What are you trying to do lower the compression?

Re: Head Gasket Question???

not trying to raise or lower the compression...just trying to figure out what would be the most suitable for a boosted application since I am replacing them. I would guess a gasket to lower the compression would be better, but needed to know on this.

Re: Head Gasket Question???

Fresh surface on block and heads, cometec MLS gaskets with head studs. Holds our 750rwhp boosted fords no problem, with 5 studs per cylinder you will be even better off. I also use SCE Titan copper's on blown BBC's with great results. With either of those gaskets you can get thicknesses to match compression that you want, although it is better to change compression with dished pistons and chamber volumes.
