Head Gasket help

i am going to replace the head gaskets on my 93 z28 and i am wondering if i need to pull the whole engine out just to be smart or is there a way i can do it w/o taking the whole thing out?

Be smart and leave the engine in. No need to pull it. The GM Impala Lt1 head gaskets will give you a little more compression and Felpro 1074's are pretty good also.

No problem replacing head gaskets with the engine in place. Remember to remove the bolts from the accessory bracket and the steam pipe that fits on the back of the heads. You should replace the gaskets (4 total) on the steam pipe banjo bolts.

Good point, I didn't see a couple of bolts on the assessory bracket, they are kind of hidden from view, near where the alt goes. Couldn't figure out why the head wouldn't come off...haha.
