I'm in process of putting the heads back on, and noticed there is only one pin on the passenger's side. The rear one is missing and I assume it fell out when I removed the head

Shoebox's site lists part # 585927 as 93-97 Head Dowl Pin. Is this the pin I need?

If so, what is the process for installing; Just put it in place and hit with hammer? And for that matter, do I really need to put a new one in? Is it only for aligning the gasket when reinstalling the head?

im not shure about the part number but yes you need that pin. it also aligns the cylinder head. and yes you should be able to lightly tap it in with a hammer.
