Head/Cam swap info
what is all needed to swap a head and cam?
i have or am in the process of getting:
port and polished heads
lt4 hot cam kit
head gaskets
new lt1 stock timing chain
hardened pushrods
what else?
and if when you install an electric water pump...can you run it with the lt1 stock timing chain? or do you need a double roller? or the lt4 heavy duty chain? is it a must? necessary??

to be successful during a head/cam swap you need the following...
new heads
new cam
measure and check pushrods
inspect lifters (real good)
valve springs
rocker arms and studs
valve seals
thunderracing.com sells a heads/cam gasket set
RTV a lot
use all new bolts (ARP w/ thread sealent is the best)
with the electric wp you can use just about any sbc timing chain
you want i would recomend the lt4 severe duty
