Re: Head Bolts Tourque

I did mine in 3 passes, 25, 45 and 65, then checked them all 3 times before I was satisfied. No problems so far, knock on wood.

Re: Head Bolts Tourque

I did mine like this:

Step One: 32 ft.-lbs.
Step Two: 52 ft.-lbs.
Step Three: 70 ft.-lbs.

Per trick flow's guide for 23 degree heads HERE

Re: Head Bolts Tourque

Shoebox's method is the correct way but most people including me do a final torque of 65lbs and havent had any problems. Knocking on wood also.

Re: Head Bolts Tourque

Thats nuts. Head bolts are only USABLE once, but you can torque them as many times as you want to get to final specs

Re: Head Bolts Tourque

Well my heads are sposed to be here tommarow. So i just want to make a doubble check. Use the factory method but torque ALL bolts to 65 ft lbs.

Does every single bolts get the same 65 ft lbs?

If you don't like the factory specs I gave you, I guess you can do whatever you want.
