Low coolant light

Seem to have the low coolant sensor failure problem. Coolant is fine but the light stays on.

Is there a procedure for cleaning the sensor? I saw on the Shoebox sight how to remove it, but nothing that details how to clean it. I'd rather replace or clean the sensor instead of just unplugging it. Thanks!!

Cleaning is just a matter of doing whatever you need to make it clean. There is not much there to clean. It does not always work, though. I cleaned mine and it still comes on at random.

Re: Low coolant light

How much coolant do you remove from the radiator so none spills out when you remove the sensor? Thanks!

Re: Low coolant light

look where the sensor is and drain it down to just below its level. Remove the battery for best access.
