Re: Head Bolts Question

Yes the bracket is attached to the head, the power steering pump must be removed to get to the two bolts that hold the bracket to the head. Make sure to remove the steam pipe at the back of the head.

Removing the two banjo bolts literally took me a total of 2 minutes. It shouldn't cause you much trouble, but make sure you use the correct size wrench (I believe it's a 15mm).

Or not. I removed both my heads, then tryed to take those bolts out. no go. Tryed my impact wrench... negative. finally i was able to remove the rounded bolts with a craftsman bolt out kit and a long *** breaker bar.

What were you doing with an impact on the bolts?? I've removed the bolts from a couple of cars with the heads on the car, with zero problems. Guess I'm just lucky.

If were talking about the same bolts, I also had to impact them off!
