Were you doing a header install? Can't get it line up right? Mine was hard too. I used a long tire iron, and pryed it back into position. As long as your batteries disconnected, your airbag won't go off when you move the shaft that goes into the steering wheel back and forth.

I don't remember having a problem, and I've taken it out a few times, I suggest having a couple people help you though, that SOB is a bit heavy to line up and bolt in by yourself

I had a hard time with that too when I installed my headers. I ended up opening up the female end a little bit with my grinder so I could get it started back together. Then it was Hammer Time!
