having some issues....PLEASE HELP

i just got the tranny rebuilt and added a TCI 3000 stall.......today while driving around, b4 shifting to 3rd around 3000 rpm, the car would drop rpms slightly, enuff to make it feel like a "bog" and then would shift, it also felt like it had wheel hop accelerating from 0.....it feels like the converter doesnt want to lock up also. Can anyone give me advice....a local tranny guy who rebuilt this tranny said it may be bcuz the distributor is damp and is causing a miss.....someone has to know something to help me. Thanx.

more info to ask about.......its now having this problem at high rpm....kinda feels like a rev limiter but it is at too low of an rpm for that and it doesnt bounce off the limiter, just kinda misses......it still feels like the clutches are slipping too much also..............could this be the OBD1 high stall problem???

There aren't 36000 members with a 3000 stall converter.

Good advice will have to come from someone with experience. Anyone can guess, but I'm sure you would like an intelligent answer.
Ok, I will go ahead and say that it might be the high stall OBDI problem. I hear that some of the pcm programming people can solve this. You might want to try emailing some of those folk.

The opti gets blamed for all types of troubles. The reason is that it can manifest trouble in all kinds of ways. RPMs low, high and in between. It can throw codes and not throw codes depending on what part of it is sick. Check all plug and coil wire connections first and even plugs if they have been in there a while.

i am going to spend some money, and go ahead and replace the water pump which i found to be leaking, prolly onto the opti, and i will be replacing the opti also...we'll see how this all goes.
