having some 96 lt1 problems...
I'm fairly new here, and I just bought a 96 lt1 m6 camaro about 2 weeks ago.
Since then I have replaced the battery, and the alternator, and everything was doing great until last night. When I go to roll up my window, and it won't roll up. I look at the battery gauge reading and its well below the halfway point. Why would this be happening with a brand new battery and alternator?
thanks, fre$h

Re: having some 96 lt1 problems...
Your power window motor is going out. If you roll it up until it stops, wait a few minutes and then try again. It should roll up a few more inches and then stop again. Just do a search and you should find a guide to show you how to replace them. Since you are new, make sure you always do a search before posting. There are a lot of common problems that our cars have, just like the vibration you get when you are going about 90mph.

Do a search for shoebox's site. It is one of the best f'body help site's you'll ever read. (It also shows how to replace the power window motor). It should take no longer than 45 min for the first time doing one.

No no no, it's not the window motor. My car won't start now. I'm getting now power at all. This car seems like it's going to be tons of trouble. I just replaced the battery and the alternator. I jumped it tonight, and it jumped and started up, but only for a couple of minutes untill the battery died out. Please help me.

I'm curious what prompted you to replace the alternator and battery. Might be the same problem.
I'd double check all the connections on the alternator and battery if you haven't already. Also check the accessory belt tension to make sure the alternator is spinning fast enough. You could also have a short which could be just about anywhere.
