have spark, fuel pressure, no start
have spark, fuel pressure, no start
my car simply will not start, i checked for injector pulse with a noid light, that is fine, checked all fuses, twice, replaced fuel pump, lit myself on fire, i was getting plenty of pressure at a prime, then when i turn the car over i would lose all pressure, problem solved with new pump. also i have just replaced the battery and the alternator turns out they were shot but not important, also there is for sure no problem wiht security? what to try next??
What does it do? I.e., does it not turn over at all? Or does it turn over enough to start, but won't run?
When did this happen, i.e., after something you did or just all of a sudden after running and starting ok?
Need some more specifics.

the car started runing lousy, spiting and seeming to be lacking fuel, it then started shutting off, like going down the freeway, or when i would be driving at speed consistantly and then drop to an idle say for a stoplight or something of that matter, then it bacane hard to start, turns over fine but wotn start. when it did start it would run VERY rough for the 1st 30 seconds or so, then i could giveit some throttle and it would come out of it, after replacing the fuel pump it still turning over without starting, for a while but finally started and ran hard then idled fine, i let it idle for a few minutes then drove about 50 feet reversed and the car died, and thats where its been for the last week. im quite pissed off, im really close to burning it to the ground and buying a civic.
Well, perhaps the initial problem wasn't the pump afterall. Only thing I can think of is the OPTI, however I'm not familiar with how they act when they go bad.
Make sure your intake elbow is secure all the way around the TB.
If you spark and fuel, but your spark distributor is not working correctly, it ain't gonna run well, if at all.
I'm sure some body here knows alot more than I do and will help you out.
Good luck.
