Have some specific questions on A4 to M6 conversion
Ok so this is my parts list so far:
T56 tranny/bellhousing
Spec Stg 2 clutch kit
T56 flywheel
T56 Pedals
T56 console
McLeod Adjustable Master cylinder
T56 slave cylinder
Pro 5.0 Shifter
Am I forgeting anything?
My first question is:
I have been told that the hole for the master cylinder in the firewall is actually there behind the plastic. It is just got a small cover with a couple of tack qelds holding it on. Anyone know for sure?
WIll my pedals come with the pigtails for the switches? I know i use the brake a cruise switches from my A4 brake pedal but what about the clutch start swtich (that goes to the black and Yellow wires) and the clutch cruise switch. If they don't come with the pigtails can i buy them from GM?
Can I buy a wirring harness for the pedal area down there that will plug into my A4 harness? Or did they make entire different interior wirring harnesses for A4 and M6 cars?
When i take my auto tranny out will there be a lot of unused wirring down in the tranny tunel? I know that the 4l60 has a lot of sensor in it that the M6 certainly won't have. Is there a way i can unplug or get rid of the left over plugs and wirring without cutting the harness?
I want to do the least amount of rigging possible and make it the most like a factor M6 car that i can.

You also need the m6 tranny cross bracket. On my 94 Z I had to drill a hole for the M/C with a drill bit w/ the hole attachment. You will also have to cut a hole for the shifter, I used a air cut off tool and it worked well.

yeah i forgot about that. I bought a 96 T56 Z28 this morning for only a $160 so i think i will have all the parts i need.
Still looking for answer on the other questions though.
