A/C blowing cool air but not ice cold

For the last 2 summers my car's A/C hasn't been working like it should. The air coming out is cool but not ice cold like my other car. It works well enough to cool the inside of the car down but not like it used to. I am assuming it just needs to be recharged. What would be the best way to get it done? Can I just use the recharge system Wal-mart sells? What kind of refrigerant (sp?) does a '93 need? Thanks guys.

r-134a and yes you can use the walmart refrigerant just make sure you add the right amount of oil, i heard if you dont it can cause leaks in your ac line and might ruin your compressor!

How do i know if I added the right amount of oil? Sorry if that is a dumb question but I have never messed with the AC part of the car.
