11.3 definitely isn't too much compression with LE stuff.

Yes you can fly cut the piston tops to raise the ratio a little
.010" isn't stock. It's more like .25-.030...

And flycutting does NOT raise compression!

Don't give up, you're not doing anything bad.

Agreed
.010" isn't stock. It's more like .25-.030...I was trying to make a point of reference - each block needs to be measured - didn't know they were THAT deep though..
And flycutting does NOT raise compression! typo - my bad!

good call. you'll learn by what they do - and be better educated for your next build. Good luck!

Dont give up, put them heads I sold you to good use. Using standard numbers and the 57cc's the chambers were in my le1 heads with a 5cc dish and a 0 deck with a .039 x 4.125 gasket. you're gonna end up with 12.1:1 as suggested before.

While that is a high compression ratio its still streetable, with the right cam. I would give a look around for the set of mahle pistons that have about a 12cc dish. I think karl ellwin and the guys at golen had some in thier hands awhile back, using the above numbers and a 12cc dish you can hit right on 11.1 and have nicer/lighter pistons than the srp's you have been looking at.

If i was you, i would send the heads off first or give lloyd a call or fire him off an email, he is great to work with and he knows the answers to alot of your questions. Tell him what you want out of the car and he'll suggest a package for you or a combination of the packages he has for you, and suggest a compression to shoot for. then you can run the numbers for off the shelf stuff till you hit the number or just below.

i already went to my local machine shop there gona do every thing for me and all i have do is put it together. I im just gona do a 350 with some head work. he wants to raise the compression a little on it . where gona get a cam from comp cams to tell us what cam to use but i have to pick out gears and every thing the cam is gona be exactly built for this car.

I suggest you start a thread regarding cam help AFTER you know the specs of your engine/trans/rear and intended driving style.
Also keep reading here - you learn much from guys with similar combo's.
Good luck
