just did corsa exhaust, and tranny was recently rebuilt. engine has 45k miles on it. i have 1 grand in cash to do mods to the Z. what should i do i was thinking of headers, either mac or slp mid lengths w/ a y pipe and ceramic coating. or should i do suspension. im not sure what do u guys think?

If emissions are an issue, check to make sure of your specific Visual Emissions Inspection laws....

For example, in Cali, I have read that its illegal to change the location, AND number of cats. So its illegal to go from a single cat to dual cats.

Basically what I'm saying is if you do LTs the Cat #(s), and location will have to change....

If that is the case You'll have to get shorties, or slip the guy a bill or two

 

id go with the suspension, such as torque arm , control arms , maybe springs or qa1's. you would be suprised at how much these items can help. and it makes for a great sleeper. i dont know how far you can go for a grand though

 

I say do headers and a little suspension. It wont cost a grand for headers. You'll be happy with the gains and the sound, plus you can get control arms for fairly cheap. Hey, browse through the 4sale section, you never know what kind of thing you may find.

 

What exactly do all these suspension mods do?? Like what kind of torque arm should I get and what does it do?? Also where is a good place to buy it from? Also i'm not control arms where can i get some good ones adn what exactly will it help?? I'm not looking for lowering springs b/c with my lt's my car will be too low. what are qa1's?? and what would they do and where can you buy them at?? I'm wondering about all of this b/c i have no clue about suspension and i'll never find out if I don't ask and i'm looking to sneak up on some ppl when i run them in the 1/4mile
