Has replaceing oil sending unit helped you?

How many of you that replaced oil sending unit saw increase in oil pressure. Just wandering if its common problem, because my oil pressure lower then before.

I saw a 5-10 psi reading increase.

I saw nearly a 40# increase on my LS1. I was about to tear the motor down (80k miles). I had an oil leak and I traced it back to the sender, replaced it and now have 60# oil pressure again.
