The only cars that I know of that are using the Cartek clutch is a lot of Corvette C5 owners. From what I've heard, it's a damn good clutch!

I went with the spec stage II. Put a good 15k on it and no problems so far. Its has a little more bite than stock but easily daily driveable. No chatter what so ever. Maybe you are thinking about the stage III.

I dont think you'll have a problem with it. Besides streetable for a daily driver is a relitive term. What some people deem exceptable is not at all exceptable to others. However, from what i have heard this clutch does not come close to walking this line.

I don't believe Cartek sells clutches for LT1's; at least I've never seen any.

The LS1 guys seem to like them, though. Couple car club members have them and really like that clutch......some planning on switching FROM SPEC to the Cartek, if that tells you anything.

I'm on my second Star Stage III Carbon, and I'm not exactly pleased with it. I regret not buying a McLeod Street Twin to beging with.

hmm so cartek not good for daily driving?

the reason i dont want the mcleod is because its really hard on the tranny and eventually wears out your synchros.

does anyone know the ratings for the spec? i was leaning towards the spec but i hear they chatter a lot and the stage 3 isnt very good.

also i think cartek would make the clutch for lt1s as the ls1 and lt1 share the same t56.

HEY 93 FORMULA, No cartek doesnt not make a clutch for our LT1's ...I have the spec stage 2 kevlar disc clutch and im making close to 400RWHP and it seems ok i mean it is a little more touchey compared to stock but i like it.

And all my work was done by CARTEK,so i trust what they say...good luck on what clutch you pick
