I have a 252/264 @.050 494/509 on the lift (stocker class type cam) the brakes suck with out other means of vacuum.
I idle at 1300 rpm's
this cam does not like to be driven
I shift at 7200 rpm's and trap at 7400 rpm's

Down low the car fells great, I don't feel any kind of lag or anything like that. Since I have an A4 with a 2800 stall and 4.10's out back the car is driveable and I programmed the car ONLY to lockup up in 4th at round 60 MPH which helps out alot. I'm not sure how it's going to react with an M6.

I have not dynoed it yet, but hope to in the next few weeks. The car trapped 113 MPH NA and 126 MPH on a 150 nitrous hitting the rev limiter on the 1-2 shift and 2-3 shift. I need to play with the shift points.

Hope this helps.

Im running a 240/240 595/595 112 LSA, in my 383, with fully ported and polished AFR's. Its an M6 with 4:10's also. Idle's at about 900, and seems great.

I have a 260/260 solid roller 112LSA with .618 lift with 1.52 RR's
completely built 383 LT1

IDles at 1000 runs and drives great. But needs alot of timing to do so. Altho at an idle it smells rich due to the unburnt fuel.

The trick is the TUNING, I drive my car everyday, its my daily driver.

I jsut ordred a SBBC elec vacuum pump to supply vacuum to the a/c and brakes.......but i dunno wtf im gonna mount it yet LOL

My cam is tiny compared to the rest XE224/230 110LSA, stock heads, 3:42 gears. It drives fine but I still get cam surge and it will surge slightly cruising... maybe this is the result of the 110LSA? My idea of streetable might be a lot different than everyone elses but taking my current setup into account if a cam was say in the 236/242+ scale it would be hell to drive on the street without 4:56 gears and idle under 1200 RPM.

My current CompCams EX 236/242 112lsa has excellent driveability on a stock bottom-end motor with M6 and 3.45 gears.

My dad has an 82 Vette with a 247/254/112 in a 350 engine. ~2400 stall, 4.11 gears, 700r4. Engine is carbed and runs great. No driveability problems whatsoever, and it's not even tuned properly yet. The only issue was of course vacuum, which a SSBC electric vacuum pump cured. The engine is designed for the street, and has/will get driven frequently. Not a daily driver, but not afraid to drive it on several hour trips either. We couldn't be more happy with how it turned out.

TriPinTax,

I've got that same issue with the rich smell at idle. Is there anyway to get rid of that. I use my car as some what of a daily driver and the smell is killing me LOL.

Thanks,

Jody J.

Jim,

When you guys installed the SSBC electric vacuum pump was it a hard install? Looks like I'll have to break down and buy one.

Thanks,

Nah, it wasn't that bad. I didn't actually do it, but I was there while it was being done. Just make sure the wiring is correct and you shouldn't have a problem.
