Has anyone actually -cured- high rpm miss with opti replacement?

Running out of ideas, I'm about to swap in a new optispark to try to cure a high rpm misfire.

I know everyone hates the opti, but I'm wondering if anyone has actually cured a high rpm miss by replacing the opti. From the threads I've searched, it seems everyone blames the opti but then discovers a bad coil wire or similar as the real cause.

Since I've ruled almost everything out, I'm about to do the opti, but its such a bitch of a job I really want to think it will help
