i have some gears i have not installed due to them being for a series 3 carrier and i have series 2. ive heard of ring gear spacers and i was just wondering if they work and how they work. by using the spacers will i be able to keep my own carrier and not swap it for a series 3.

 

Do you even know what your getting into? Do you even have a pinion depth setting tool? Or a backlash tool? How about a press for all the bearing's?

I would find a GOOD shop dude. I do EVERYTHING to my car and even I won't touch the gear's

 

Moser makes a spacer. Do a search under "ring gear spacer" and many threads will come up.
