harmonic balancer
harmonic balancer
a chunk of rubber is missing on my harmonic balancer and I can wiggle the metal back and forth, so i need to get a new one.
I was looking through summit and I found ones that look a lot like mine but it says small block chevy. The question is, can I use these on the Lt1?

You need an lt-1 specific balancer. This is due to two things, the pulley for the acc. drive belt it machined into the outer ring of the balancer and the balancer is two parts a hub on the crank and the balancer itself. The Jegs page listed above if a Jegs rebranded Pioneer blanacer. Pretty good quality for a low cost setup. you can also get the keyed hub which they sell and install the key in the crank. Or you can just reuse your factory hub and put the balancer on.
