hardtop vs t-top weight

What is the added weight between a car with t-tops compared to a hardtop car? I have heard anywhere from 100 to 150 lbs, but can't seem to find anywhere to verify that. I have done search but was unable to find out. Reason I am asking is bcuz I am getting ready to sell my car and get another and am trying to justify a hardtop, just tried of putting on and taking off the tops all the time.

Thanks,
Jeremy

I can't remember exactly, but from previous discussions, I thought the consensus was that the difference in weight was minimal.

I can't imagine it being even 100 lbs. difference. Take the weight of two t-tops and some small brackets and that's about the weight difference. 30lbs?? The frame for t-tops is underneath the hardtop cars as well. I would look for a t-top conversion site, you might find weights there.

The difference between a hardtop and t-roof car is exactly 12lbs.

Jeremy why are you selling your car?

If you are getting an all out race car I would just get a '98 stripper Z28. Then build it the way you want it. Thats what I am eventually going to do.
