T/A A4 performance button in Camaro with TransGo?

Hey, with the wire you can ground in Camaro's to make the tranny shift quicker, (like the stock button in the T/As), will it do anything for my tranny/computer? It already has the trans-go shift kit in it.
Thanks for any info/opinions.

I don't think they offered it in 1996-1997.

The only issue I could see is if the combination of the added line pressure from the performance shift plus whatever the Transgo does, would be too much for the tranny. The performance shift is not really that radical in that regard (line pressure). The change in shift timing that the performance shift also does, would not even be an issue. Wire it up and try it. If it seems too radical, don't turn it on.

If you had LT1_edit or Tunercat, you could edit the performance mode pressure tables to be just like the normal tables and just get the benefit of the altered shift timing tables.

How come your car can go into first, from the selector. Mine only goes to second. Is this something they started in 95?

Your car came from the factory with 2.73 rear gears. They did not have a selectable 1st gear on the shifter. You can take the shifter plate off and cut off a ****/stop that keeps the shifter from going into first if you want. You just won't see "1" in the little window.

I had a performance shift button wired up for my car. My Vig 3200 wouldn't lockup on the highway with the button on. With it off it was fine.

My car originaly came with 273's but I got 373's now. I did the thing Rob was talking about and removed the rubber stop. I also bought a new center console to replace the one that I painted and it just so happen to come with the selectable 1st gear.

I guess I have my next little project to do. Is it hard to pull the cover of the console?

The shifter plate cover merely lifts up by hand. Raise it up from the back first. You may want to take off the shifter ****.
