Hardened Pushrods! Do you need them?
People tell me both ways. I am putting in Lt4 sprigns and 1.6rr's in a 96 car which does not have hardened pushrods. Do I need them? I can get them for like $30. People say that its almost better to bend a pushrod then have a valve hit a piston. So what should I do?

Is there something wrong with the search function?
Or with the identical thread you posted last week?

O.K,
I could be going out on a limb here but I have crossed the #'s so I think I'm o.k I have a 95 LT1 and don't see why G.M would have changed for 96 and the pushrods used in my engine cross to the same part # for what was used in L98 Corvette engines which had guide plates and would have required hardened pushrods.

Ok, so here goes my answer (I may be repeating some people a little )...
Do you need them with NSA rockers? No
Did I use them on my build? (look in sig) Yes
For $30 bucks is it worth it? In my opinion yes
Why? Because to me the peace of mind knowing that all of my valve train parts were new was worth the extra couple of bucks
