Hard Time Shifting at 5,000+ RPM

Ok. Whats happining is when I stomp the pedel to high RPM's and try to shift it has a hard time going into gear. Happends in gear 2nd 3rd and 4th But if I take my time (not stomping the pedel) to go up to high RPM's it shifts fine. It also shifts perfect driving normal. Only when I want, to say race the car does it have a hard time shifting. Any ideas on what might be causing this?
