Hard starts in mornings?

Its got brand new plugs, wires, and opti (replaced for another reason) and it has to crank over quite a few times before it will start. It did this before replacing all that stuff, but i was hoping it would help the situation, but it didnt. If the engine is warm it will fire right up. What else causes hard starts that i should look into? Oh and if it matters I know my EGR valve is sticking open every once in a while. Could that be the cause? Thanks, Jeff

Yeah, sounds like your loosing fuel pressure. When the key is turned to the "on" position the fuel pump is going to run for a few seconds. What you can do is cycle the key from the on to off position for a minute so that you can make sure that you are getting enough fuel pressure at the injectors. If your car fires right up after doing that, you can be sure that you have a fuel pressure problem. Once you do that you can check with the thread listed by n2ceptor to see procedures for checking the FPR and other possibilitys. Unfortunatly you need a fuel pressure gauge to do alot of the diagnostics, which most people dont have.
