Question Hard Starting, Coil Arcing

Well, here's the scenario: Sometimes when I go to start the car in the morning, it pops right off, but other times engine turns over a few times and then cranks. Also, when the car sits for about ten minutes it will start right up, but any longer than that and it will turn over a few times, and then start, sometimes I have to turn the key twice, car has been doing this for about 10 months. There is also a small amount of arcing on the coil, car has a slightly rough idle, but pulls hard at high rpms, also slight miss while cruising. I've been trying to figure out what the problem is for months now with no solution. Also forgot to mention that the car has killed three coils: two MSD Blasters, and an Accel, it only took a week fior the Accel to go bad, the only coil that I've had any luck with is the AC Delco. Car had new opti installed last July, plugs and plug wires changed a few times, new module. I can't figure it out, any help would be very appreciated. Car is a 1994 Pontiac Trans Am

Maybe you have a grounding problem. Is the braided ground strap that goes from the coil stud to the body intact?

Ground strap

The ground strap is intact, and I even added another ground strap, just to be safe.

This is the exact problem I have. Anybody know of a fix? I would PM TArider21 to see if he found the problem or email him but that doesn't seem to be an option. Anyway, anybody know what might be going on?

Re: Hard Starting, Coil Arcing

Anyone with an update on this problem?
I have been trying to eliminate a 2k rpm stumble for a while now. I replaced damn near every sensor on the car: both O2's, MAF, MAP, KS, ICM, TPS, PCV, EGR deleted with the 3 plate kit, coil, coolant temp sensor for PCM, low coolant sensor, extra ground wires from the coil/ICM to the frame/body, plugs, wires (totally out of the way), installed Stage8 locking header bolts, and some Percy's Dead Soft aluminum header gaskets.
I just finished putting it all back together, start it up, and I hear the framilure pre-firing arc noise that I heard before the install of all that stuff, it takes a few seconds before it starts, and once it does, it idles very rough. I have only driven it down the street in the neighborhood so far tonight, I think that my stumble may be gone, but the damn thing has a rough idle, and almost feels like it wants to die when you are not giving it gas.

Any Ideas? My new problem seems very similar to the problem yall are having in this thread (I'm not trying to hi-jack your thread)

also, this is a full bolt-on car, nothing internal changed other than a broken rocker stud, which required the removal of many rockers and called for adjustments of the rockers. Could rockers being too tight cause this? I don't think they are, but maybe. Besides, that doesnt explain the arcing noise I hear just before it starts up. Could it be my MSD 6A box? I have hated every MSD product that I have had. this 6A box is the only MSD product I have left.
