Hard starting.

Heres one for you guys.
Car takes 2 tries to start, always starts on second try.
Fuel pump is new, just changed the FPR, IAC, TPS, MAP, O2s are all new, EGR is deleted and blocked off.
Opti is new, plugs and wires are basically new just 4k on them.
Would a leaky injector cause this?
I am at a loss as to the problem.
Injectors is all I can figure.

Thumbs up

Leaky injector or your initial timing is too advanced somehow.

I am going to go ahead and put some new injectors in and see what happens, I think the dang motor might just be getting old.

Ive been having the same problem.

Last week it wouldnt start at all with the new programed pcm (obdI converted). So I had to swap in the older pcm for it to start. I also had a high load misfire so i changed my opti and the starting problem went away slightly. But it still takes a long time to start with the new opti, esp on cold days with the new pcm. Could this be because the initial timing in the new program is too advanced?

Its a possibility in your case.
My program has been in the car for years (Ed Wright) and it always started fine.
I get the headers, new tranny, and stall in and it does this 2 tries to start deal.
I know its getting up there in mileage so I am replacing old parts, injectors are next on the list.
