HAL QA1 front shocks/V6 springs??

Ive been told that the adj HAL's wont work with V6 front spring set up, that you have to buy HAL front springs as well. Is this true?

You can not use any stock 4th Gen springs with the QA1/HAL shocks, unless you modify the stock spring seat. Rob/Shoebox and I have worked out the details:

The hal shocks are a little bigger in diameter than the stockers, and there springs are a little smaller to fit over the hight adjusting ring.
You can fit a stock style spring on the hal, but you'll need to modify the stock spring seat to make it fit over the bigger hal body. Hal springs are a straight forward fit.

Another ?? for ya. Is the HAL Gen-F front shock something new? It says it is based on the QA1 Proma Star Al, but designed for F-bodies. Any info on this shock?

They have been around for several years. Basically that is telling you that they gave the shock the correct mounting features to fit on the F-body.
